Biodiversity and Adaptation to the Climate Change Project (BACCP) funded jointly by  Mongolian and German Governments through KfW and is being implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia.  

ECO Consult Representative Office in Mongolia, the Mongolian office of the Implementation Consultant for BACCP is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper/Translator for our Ulaanbaatar office.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:  

Under the direct guidance of the Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) of BACCP Phase II/III: 

  • Administrative and Logistic tasks  
  • Invoicing, documentation and data management  
  • Accounting and Procurement (IC branch budget) in close exchange with the   accountant of ECO Consult HQ in Oberaula, Germany  
  • Provides interpretation during meeting, mission and workshops  
  • Daily interpretation support for the team, as well as written translations  • Manages office telephone calls, emails  

Qualifications and requirements 

  • University degree in a relevant field such as English language, social science or any  other related field  
  • At least three (5) years’ secretarial and translation interpretation experience  • Fluent spoken and written English and Mongolian 
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)  
  • Ability to travel
