To enhance the management of
16 specially protected areas in the West and Govi regions and to support the
sustainable livelihoods of the Soum residents in the surrounding areas, a grant
program providing self-dumping trucks, garbage collection vehicles, and tractor
sets commenced on August 30, 2024, in the East region, from the "Biodiversity and
Adaptation to Climate Change" project
implemented by the German
Credit Institute for Reconstruction (KFW) in collaboration with the Ministry of
Environment and Climate Change within the framework of development cooperation
between the Government of Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Project Implementation Unit and representatives from the contractor, MB Engineering, handed over equipment and conducted safety training sessions for the administrations of Dariganga NP, Dariganga Soum, Sukhbaatar Province on August 30 and 31, and for Numrug SPA, Khalkh Gol Soum, Dornod Province on September 1 and 2.
